Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Provide table service with care and attention
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol serving laws and regulations
- Manage multiple tabs efficiently while providing attentive service
- Handle card transactions accurately using POS systems and process payments promptly
- Follow food safety standards and responsible serving practices at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality and care for customer service is essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol serving practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests confidently
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating tabs
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or glassware
