We are currently seeking an Estimator with Shopfitting & Commercial Fit Out experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established & successful Main Contractor, working from our base in Dundee, Scotland.
The successful applicant will play a key role in the Estimating team, as a Project Estimator supporting both Construction and Fitout tenders.
You will be involved in a number of contracts through major retail, leisure, and banking sectors . The role will be instrumental in paving the way for delivering success on our already full order book.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Fit Out or Construction Estimating role
- Ability to deal professionally with customers/clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office Suite..
- Ability to read drawings and prepare schedules of work and measured Bills of Quantities.
- A good level of commercial acumen and solid understanding of market rates and profit margins.
- A highly-motivated individual with a willingness and desire to integrate with the rest of the team and the wider business.
- Ability to travel when required to UK for site visits/meetings.
Estimating Duties
- Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender
- Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre- tender matters liaising with Primero Departments/Director/Client & Other Stakeholders
- Review & Discuss Tenders in consultation with Director and Senior Estimator / QS to assess whether we will be tendering the particular project in question
- Arrange and attend tender review meetings with Senior Estimator / QS / Director/Other Stakeholders to discuss strategies and methodology
- Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
- Take off quantities
- Assess Tender Schedule/Drawings to assess works involved
- Assess Tender Schedule/Drawings to assess whether any or which Sub-Contractors will be invited to join in the tender process
- Create Formal Sub Contract Tender Packages as required
- Assess Supply chains
- Create Job File in Tendering Folder in Company Drive as required
- Create Tender & Pricing Documentation for Estimation from 1stPrinciples
- Site visits for site measurements and/or to assess project requirements
- Collate and Distribution of Tender Package to Sub-Contractors & other Stakeholders as required
- Receive, assess and analyse pricing and identify any protentional issues including supply chain issues
- Carry out take offs for material procurement as required

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
