Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and contribute to delivering excellent service to our customers. Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Cook and assemble dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Support meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimised
- Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering setting is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary
