Our UK Land, Development & Planning team is growing, and we're looking for talented Economic Development professionals to join our nationally recognised Economic Development & Appraisal (EDA) team.

Our Economic Development & Appraisal team specialises in promoting sustainable economic growth through expert advice on land, property and infrastructure. We combine deep real estate expertise with economic development, appraisal and place-based strategy to help clients make informed investment decisions.
We are recognised market leaders in the preparation of HM Treasury Green Book business cases and provide strategic advice to public and private sector clients across the UK.
Our work includes:
HM Treasury Green Book business cases
Economic impact assessments
Funding strategies
Project feasibility studies
Economic and market demand assessments
Business and investment planning
Evaluation and monitoring
Regeneration and place-based strategies
Our clients include government departments, local authorities, Mayoral Combined Authorities, Homes England, investors and developers.
We're retained on major public sector frameworks, including the Homes England Strategic Research, Economics and Evaluation Framework, and advise on nationally important initiatives including:
National Housing Delivery Fund
Brownfield Housing Fund
Integrated Settlements
Investment Zones
Freeports
New Towns
Major regeneration and city centre renewal programmes
Large-scale employment and infrastructure projects
We're looking for a Consultant, Senior Consultant or Associate to support the continued growth of our Economic Development business.
You'll work alongside experienced specialists on high-profile projects while helping to grow our client relationships and market presence.
We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. Consultancy experience is desirable, but we're equally interested in individuals with strong economic development experience gained in the public or private sector.
This is a national opportunity, with flexibility around office location and hybrid working.
A genuine passion for economic development, regeneration and placemaking
A degree or professional background in economics, economic development or a related discipline
Experience preparing business cases, economic appraisals or cost-benefit analysis
Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
Excellent report writing and communication skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Commercial awareness and a collaborative approach
Experience within the property sector is advantageous but not essential, and RICS qualification is not required.
