We are seeking a professional and energetic Cook/ Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a bank basis.
This role will involve a mixture of weekdays and weekends.
Role Responsibilities:
- To assist preparing high quality meals in accordance with the dietary requirements of our residents
- To have knowledge or be willing to undertake training of diabetes, Allergens and dysphagia dietary requirements
- To ensure a high level of service for all meal times, ensuring prompt delivery of food to table and excellent presentation of food
- Prepare a cooked breakfast to our residents, prepare afternoon snacks and baked goods for tea trolley
- To maintain the standard of health and hygiene
- To report any defects of any kitchen equipment to the Home Manager.
- To ensure good quality of food at all times, ensuring portions are maintained
- To carry out all general duties and responsibilities
- To complete any training requirements
- To carry out any reasonable duties requested by senior staff that will aid and assist the smooth running of the home.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as needed
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or bank holidays if necessary

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
