Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the organisation’s financial health. Duties
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing a portfolio of clients across different sectors in the UK and worldwide, providing advice on financial and accounting matters.
- Assistance with payroll process
- Issuing invoices to all customers on a weekly basis
- Responsible for payment of all supplier invoices on a monthly basis
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and supplier accounts on Opera accounting software to ensure accurate financial data.
- Preparing and completing month end accounts for the sales and purchase ledger.
- Calculate and prepare VAT returns
- Prepare the statutory accounts of the year-end audit and liaison with auditors
- Reviewing and improving financial processes, suggesting improvements where required
Skills
- At least 3 years finance and administrative experience
- Sage experience would be advantageous
- High degree of communication skills particularly attuned to conveying financial concepts to non-financially trained colleagues.
- Used to working in a demanding environment and providing accurate and timely information to a high standard.
- Keen to work with a hands-on approach. The postholder will be in sole charge of all transaction processing and accounting.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Strong organisation skills and able to deal with competing priorities.
