Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead our vibrant dining team! Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food and beverage service, bar service, catering, and banquet functions.
- Lead staff training initiatives to ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service, proper food handling, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage shift operations efficiently by overseeing staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Utilise POS systems, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent shortages or overstocking; coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate staff performance, and participate in hiring decisions to build a motivated team.
- Enforce food safety regulations and hospitality standards across all departments to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food production, labor, and supplies.
- Foster a welcoming environment that enhances guest satisfaction through attentive service and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting with strong leadership skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
- Prior experience in fine dining or casual dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Strong background in food safety standards and hospitality management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to train staff effectively and manage team performance under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates confidently.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and food industry best practices.
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational improvements.
- Hospitality or restaurant management certification is preferred; assistant manager experience is advantageous.
