Know Escape Ltd has been creating immersive entertainment experiences since 2017, operating escape rooms and Laser Quest experiences across multiple locations.
At Laser Quest Witham, we’re all about creating exciting, energetic and memorable experiences for our customers. From birthday parties and family visits to groups and special events, our team makes sure every customer has a fantastic time from the moment they arrive.
The Role
We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and confident people to join our team as Crew Members / Laser Marshalls.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you'll be responsible for running Laser Quest sessions, welcoming customers, delivering safety briefings, supervising games and helping keep the venue running safely and smoothly.
You may also be trained to run our escape room experiences alongside Laser Quest.
Key ResponsibilitiesLaser Quest Sessions
- Welcome customers and check them in for their sessions.
- Get players ready for their Laser Quest experience.
- Deliver clear, confident and engaging safety and game briefings.
- Help customers correctly put on and use Laser Quest equipment.
- Start, monitor and manage Laser Quest games.
- Supervise players and ensure arena rules are followed.
- Deal confidently with any safety or behavioural issues during games.
- Help customers with questions about the equipment or gameplay.
- Provide scorecards and explain results at the end of sessions.
- Reset and prepare the arena and equipment ready for the next group.
Parties & Groups
- Help welcome and organise birthday parties and larger groups.
- Make sure groups are ready for their scheduled game times.
- Assist with party areas, food and drinks where required.
- Help create a fun, energetic atmosphere for birthday children and their guests.
- Keep sessions running on time during busy periods.
Reception & Customer Service
- Welcome customers arriving at the venue.
- Answer customer questions and assist with walk-in enquiries.
- Answer telephone enquiries where required.
- Take payments using our till and booking systems.
- Explain our different games, packages, prices and offers.
- Encourage customers to return and recommend other experiences.
Venue Operations
- Assist with opening and closing the venue.
- Keep reception, the Laser Quest arena, party areas and customer spaces clean and presentable.
- Complete cleaning and operational checks.
- Report damaged equipment, faults or maintenance issues.
- Help with basic troubleshooting where appropriate.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Report accidents, incidents and near misses correctly.
Escape Rooms
Once trained, you may also be required to:
- Welcome and brief escape room customers.
- Monitor games using CCTV.
- Provide clues when required.
- Reset escape rooms accurately after each game.
- Complete game and equipment checks.
What We're Looking For
You don't need previous Laser Quest experience – full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who is:
- 18 years old or over.
- Friendly, outgoing and approachable.
- Confident speaking to groups of adults and children.
- Comfortable giving instructions and enforcing safety rules.
- Energetic and able to create a fun atmosphere.
- Calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work independently when required.
- Comfortable working in a busy entertainment environment.
- Happy to clean, reset equipment and get involved with all aspects of running the venue.
- Interested in Laser Quest, escape rooms, gaming or entertainment.
Working Hours
This is a zero-hours position, with shifts based around customer bookings and venue requirements.
Our busiest periods are normally:
- Evenings
- Weekends
- School holidays
- Bank holidays
Hours will vary depending on bookings, so flexibility is important.

This position is 18+ only due to the level of responsibility involved, including supervising customers, operating the venue, handling payments and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
