Our client a growing Med Tech, IVD & Scientific Services company are looking to add a Production Scientist to the team in Cambridge. They are searching for an organised team player, who plays an integral role in the manufacture of a catalogue products in a science-based laboratory.
You’ll work within a team to produce the correct amount and type of stock in line with customer and business requirements. This involves carrying out manufacturing tasks whilst following established processes and procedures in the Quality Management System.
Duties:
- Work as part of a team of Production Scientists, carrying out manufacturing tasks such as PCR amplification and Nick Translation in line with guidelines with supervision
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of materials and reagents within the laboratory area generally and specifically for each campaign/manufacture task assigned
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Adhere to procedures documented in the quality management system and ensure that any non-compliances are reported in a timely manner
Essential Skills:
- The Production Scientist will demonstrate attention to detail with an organised/methodical way of working
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to follow exact detailed processes
- Ideas on process change and improvements to deliver operating efficiency
Desirable Skills:
- At least A-level qualification or higher in a biological or related science
- Experience of working in a production or laboratory environment
- Experience of using molecular biology techniques, such as PCR and Nick Translation.

Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
