Holiday Camps Manager – Activity Camps
EMPWR Sports
Full-time | £30,000–£32,000 + Performance Bonus
Hybrid / Field Based | Midlands + UK Travel
Be Part of Our History.
EMPWR Sports is looking for a Holiday Camps Manager to take ownership of our growing holiday camp operation.
We're looking for an A-game player – somebody ambitious, commercially minded and capable of taking ownership and making things happen.
Someone who sees a half-full camp and thinks "how do we fill it?"
Someone who walks into an operation, sees what isn't working and fixes it.
You'll have genuine responsibility and the opportunity to build your role as EMPWR grows.
The mission: Build an outstanding, scalable and profitable holiday camp operation that children love, parents trust and schools want back every year.
The Role
You'll take ownership of EMPWR's HAF-funded and paid holiday camps, including:
- Planning and coordinating multiple camp locations
- Recruiting, training and managing Camp Managers and Coaches
- Staffing, rotas and last-minute cover
- Growing bookings and camp occupancy
- Securing and developing venues
- Safeguarding, compliance and risk management
- Equipment and operational readiness
- Parent and school relationships
- Monitoring costs and camp profitability
- Developing systems that allow us to scale
During camp periods, you'll be visible across sites ensuring standards are being delivered.
Outside camp periods, you'll be building the next one – recruiting, planning, improving systems, developing venues and driving bookings.
We're Looking For
You may come from holiday camps, children's activities, sports coaching, education or multi-site operations.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and organisation
- Managing multiple teams or locations
- Recruiting and developing people
- Solving problems independently
- Working in fast-moving operations
- Commercial awareness
- Improving systems and processes
Experience within children's activities, safeguarding, sport or holiday provision is advantageous.
How You Work Matters
We're looking for somebody who takes ownership.
If somebody calls in sick at 7am, your first instinct shouldn't be to ring the Director and ask what to do.
If bookings aren't where they should be, you take action.
If a Camp Manager isn't performing, you deal with it.
You'll have support from the leadership team, but you'll also have the authority to make decisions.
See it. Own it. Solve it. Improve it.
What Success Looks Like
We want you to build an operation where:
- Strong Camp Managers independently run sites
- Staffing is organised well ahead of delivery
- Occupancy and repeat bookings increase
- Standards remain consistently high
- Safeguarding and compliance are excellent
- Each camp's commercial performance is understood
- New locations can be opened successfully
The Opportunity
We're building the next stage of EMPWR and want people who want to grow with us.
Perform in this role and there is genuine scope for your responsibility, earning potential and leadership position to grow alongside the business.
If you want responsibility, enjoy solving problems and want the opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain it, we'd like to hear from you.
