We are recruiting for a care assistant to join our team, to care for a 16 year old boy with complex health needs in the Wardley area of Gateshead.
We currently have a part time contract available, hours can be discussed at interview. We can offer a 16 or 20 hour contract. Extra hours may become available.
During term time you will arrive at clients house at 8am and go with him to school, you will then support client at school along side school member of staff. You will then support client back home and shift will finish at 17.00. During non term time and weekend shift you will support client in his own home and support him to access the community.
Previous experience caring for children with complex health needs is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. But previous care experience is essential.
ESSENTIAL
- Must have a min of 12 months recent care experience in the UK
- Be willing to learn new skills to support complex conditions
- Be patient and empathetic and an excellent communicator.
- be able to follow care plans and risk assessments
We offer 24/7 support, training from nurses, monthly pay, free mandatory training and a very supportive company to work for.
