Job Summary
Little Nipperz are looking for an assistant to work in afterschool club within our setting at Fairhouse Community Primary School, Basildon. TERM TIME ONLY
Have experience with working with children.
Obtain a first aid qualification (training provided).
Be available to work between Monday and Friday, term time only.
6-16 hours per week, during school term time, between 3.00pm to 6.00pm. You will be working alongside a qualified/experienced staff and club leader.
Job Description
- Set up activities before the start of the sessions
- Collect and Drop from classrooms
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of club refreshments and light tea
- Lead creative, stimulating and appropriate planned activities as required by the breakfast after School Club with the club Leader (eg art, cooking, sports)
- Monitor child led activities
- Promote positive behaviour
- Clear away activities at the end of the sessions, leaving all areas clean and tidy
- Ensure materials and equipment are kept clean and safe
- Promote the welfare of children and support the school in safeguarding children by following relevant policies and procedures
- Adhere to club and school health and safety policies, procedures and rules, taking reasonable care of self and others
- Promote safeguarding and safety at all times.
