We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support care planning and implement personalised care routines
- Monitor and record residents' health conditions and report any concerns to senior staff
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support clients with home care tasks including meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and updating care records accurately
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel or transportation of clients
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication skills, empathetic nature, and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
