Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful visualisations, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational databases.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Design and implement database structures ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval aligned with best practices in database design.
- Utilise programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell) for data manipulation, automation, and advanced analysis tasks.
- Support project management activities by coordinating tasks within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) framework.
- Create detailed documentation using Visio and other tools to illustrate data flows, system architecture, and process workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver actionable insights that support organisational objectives.
Experience
- Proven experience in data analysis or related roles with a strong understanding of SQL querying and database management.
- Demonstrable proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or similar platforms.
- Experience in business analysis including requirements gathering and process optimisation.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and project management principles is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets accurately.
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modelling techniques.

Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
