HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

Jenkins Transport & Logistics is looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to join our growing team based in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver seeking consistent, Monday-to-Friday work with no weekend commitments, regular routes, and competitive weekly pay.
The Role
As one of our Night Trunk Drivers, you'll be responsible for transporting double-deck trailers between our Liverpool base and one of three major distribution depots each night. This is a straightforward trunking role with no multi-drop deliveries, allowing you to focus on safe, efficient driving.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday nights (5 shifts per week)
- Start time: 18:00
- Typical finish: 02:00 – 04:30
- One shift per week finishes at approximately 06:00
- No weekend working

Responsibilities
- Safely complete nightly trunk runs using double-deck trailers
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensure compliance with all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation
- Complete all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service
What We're Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience with trunking and double-deck trailers is advantageous, but not essential for the right candidate
- A professional, dependable approach to work
- Good knowledge of Driver Hours regulations and road safety
