Mobile Security Officer – ASB Harlow Mobile Team 2
About the Role
We are looking for a professional and reliable Mobile Security Officer to join our ASB Harlow Mobile Team 2.
Working as part of a dedicated mobile team, you will patrol Greater Anglia stations and surrounding locations to help deter and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB), support station staff and maintain a safe environment for passengers and employees.
This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with our client and partner organisations.
Shift Pattern (optional which shifts you choose, options below)
The role operates on a 4 on / 2 off rota:
- Monday – Wednesday: 16:00 – 00:00
- Thursday – Sunday: 17:00 – 01:00
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile patrols of designated stations and locations to deter ASB and other security-related issues.
- Attend and assist with station revenue blocks when required.
- Support and protect station staff, helping to maintain a safe working environment.
- Patrol trains when requested by the client or Operations Management.
- Respond professionally to incidents and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Work closely with Greater Anglia and British Transport Police (BTP).
- Maintain a visible security presence across the network.
- Complete all required company documentation accurately, including patrol logs and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, station staff and members of the public.
- Follow company policies, client instructions and operational procedures at all times.

- £17.95 Umbrella Paye per hour starting rate (Equivalent to £13.45 Paye per hour)

Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence – essential.
- Full UK driving licence and able to drive a manual vehicle.
- No more than 3 points on your driving licence.
- Willing and able to use the company LS vehicle.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, reliable and approachable manner.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
- Able to work independently while also being an effective team member.
- Good attention to detail and ability to complete accurate documentation.
- Previous security, railway or mobile patrol experience would be advantageous.
- Training & Pre-Employment Checks
Successful candidates will be required to:
- Complete our vetting process before starting.
- Complete a medical assessment before starting. This will be arranged and paid for by the company once vetting has been successfully completed.
- Complete mandatory track safety training, which is approximately 1–2 hours online, before commencing the role.
