About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable English Tutor to join our busy, established tuition company, delivering 1:1 lessons in students’ homes across the Selby area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor who enjoys working directly with students and helping them build confidence, improve their English skills and achieve their academic potential.
The Ideal Candidate
We are ideally looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher (QTS) or has relevant teaching/tutoring experience.
- Has strong knowledge of the English curriculum.
- Is confident delivering engaging 1:1 lessons.
- Is reliable, professional and able to work independently.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Is passionate about helping children and young people succeed.
- Can travel to students’ homes within the Selby area.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work on a self-employed basis.
- Access to reliable transport is desirable due to home tuition.
