DV Cleared Electricians required for a contract position on a project based at AWE, Reading.
Position Details
- Starting in August.
- Duration: Initially two months with a further contract extension.
- Rate: £350-400 per day (standard eight hour day).
- Payment Method: CIS and weekly.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30am to 15:30. (Some flexibility).
- Overtime: Additional hours (paid at an enhanced rate) may be available.
Essential Requirements
- Active DV (Developed Vetting) Clearance – Mandatory
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS Card
- Previous industrial or commercial electrical experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carrying out electrical installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance activities on a nuclear facility.
- Installation of cable containment systems including tray, basket, conduit, and trunking.
- Installation and termination of power, lighting, and control cabling.
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and rectification of electrical systems.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works.
- Electrical testing and commissioning support.
- Working in accordance with permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Ensuring compliance with site quality, safety, and nuclear industry standards.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, inspection records, and test results.
