Responsibilities:
Position Purpose: The purpose of the Senior Murex Front Office Developer is to develop and maintain the FO/Risk modules of the vendor system, Murex, for both internal and external users. The senior profile should be capable of performing his/her responsibilities with minimal supervision
Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Configure New Financial Products (Commodities Linear/Derivatives, FX Cash/Derivatives, IR Linear/Derivatives). Must have knowledge of the financial industry and the specifics of the configuration within Murex from a FO and Risk point of view

Build simulation views for viewing PL and Risk.

Set-up of Market data, spot indices, swap prices, commodity price curves, swap generators, volatility curves.

Build and enhance Confirmations using XSL and Murex custom language, XMLF and XMLFBM.

Build, enhance and troubleshoot pre/post-trade formulas.

Troubleshooting and configuration of VaR and Stress reports

Provide first/second-level support to cross-functional BAU issues raised by business users including but not limited to P&L, Risk, Pre/Post-trade processing, Datamart reporting.

Perform Murex development tasks with minimal to no supervision

Effectively

Analyze and Gather requirements from FO, Risk and Operations teams

Qualifications:
Job Requirements:

6-7+ years Murex FO expertise
-
Financial and technical expertise in the following asset classes and their event lifecycle: Commodities (futures, forwards, swaps, accumulators), FX (cash, options), IR (swaps, listed futures/options)

Proficiency in configuring the following modules: simulation, pricing templates, pre/post-trade MSL, asset-specific static data/market data (instruments, indices, curves, historical data)

Basic understanding of datamart (dynamic tables, datamart, feeders, extractions)

Basic understanding of accounting

Intermediate level knowledge of SQL

Linux knowledge (awk, bash)

Strong Logical and Analytical skills

Detail Oriented and self-starter

Team-player

Good communication skills
-
Basic knowledge in accounting module troubleshooting and configuration

Ideally as well troubleshooting-level skills in post-trade workflows

Preferably a master’s degree in finance
