Job Summary
Load inspector to join our team at our yard on Immingham docks. To safely inspect loads of scrap steel when the product arrives in the yard. support site operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company procedures, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Operating Monday to Friday 06:30-17:30 with weekend work available during vessel operations. This role also provides the opportunity to gain experience operating various mobile plant to assist during the vessel loading operations.
Responsibilities
- Forklifts (where qualified)
- Other site-specific plant equipment
- Carry out pre-start inspections and daily equipment checks.
- Report defects, faults, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Load, move, stockpile, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintain safe working areas and good housekeeping standards.
- Follow site traffic management plans and safe systems of work.
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of plant equipment.
- Complete required operational records, checklists, and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
- Support site production targets and operational objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience in scrap metal desirable but not essential.
Pay: £16.00 per hour
