Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Recovery Driver specialising in 7.5-tonne vehicles to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and recovering vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires a professional approach, excellent driving skills, and a strong understanding of commercial vehicle operations. The Recovery Driver will play a vital part in supporting our logistics operations and maintaining our reputation for dependability.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate 7.5-tonne recovery vehicles, including flatbed trucks, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
- Recover and transport vehicles from various locations, including accident scenes or breakdown sites, using appropriate recovery techniques.
- Deliver goods and equipment to designated locations promptly and securely, adhering to schedules and routes.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure operational safety and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, recoveries, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during operations.
- Ensure the security of transported items and uphold high standards of customer service throughout all interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid Category C1 (7.5-tonne) driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, No experience needed in recovery full traning given ,
- Strong driving skills with the ability to manoeuvre large vehicles confidently in various conditions.
- Experience with delivery routes and logistics planning is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly under pressure while maintaining professionalism at all times.
