Tiddlywinks Centre, a children's charity based in Sheffield, currently celebrating 21 years of supporting children and families. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly, high-quality team. Salary – from £27,000+ per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
About You - We are looking for someone who has:
· A relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education, such as CACHE, NNEB, NVQ or Early Years Workforce.
· Previous experience working with children, ideally as a Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or in a similar role.
· A passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
· A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
· Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Experience of supporting children and families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) would be advantageous.
The Role
· This is a full-time position of 38 to 40 hours per week, working 52 weeks per year.
· Hours are worked on a rota basis between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
· As an Early Years Practitioner, you will:
· Provide a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
· Support children's wellbeing, development and individual needs.
· Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
· Encourage children to explore, discover and experience the awe and wonder of the world around them.
· Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
· Promote children's welfare and wellbeing through effective safeguarding practice.
· Follow all health and safety, child protection and nursery policies and procedures.
· Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
