Job Description – Cellar Manager

Job Purpose
The Cellar Manager is responsible for the efficient management of the hotel's cellars and beverage stock, ensuring high standards of organisation, product quality and stock control. The role supports the smooth operation of the bars, restaurant and events by maintaining accurate stock levels and a well-organised cellar.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all hotel cellars and beverage storage areas.
- Receive, check and store all beverage deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock (FIFO) and minimise wastage.
- Carry out regular stock takes and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare beverage orders and liaise with F & B Manager.
- Clean and maintain beer and cider lines in accordance with schedule.
- Ensure dispense equipment is clean and operating correctly.
- Prepare and distribute stock for bars, weddings and events.
- Maintain accurate stock records and complete relevant documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Keep all cellar areas clean, safe and organised.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in cellar, bar or stock management.
- Strong organisational and stock control skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
- Physically capable of safely handling kegs and deliveries.
Working Hours
Flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Work Location: In person
