Duties
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods efficiently and safely across designated routes
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and vehicle condition
- Secure loads properly, including to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times during deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery notes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with loads and delivery routes
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Experience with delivery driver responsibilities, including load securing and route planning
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo when required

Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
