Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walker to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors and have a genuine passion for animals. This role involves providing exercise, companionship, and basic care to dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they are healthy, happy, and well-socialised during their walks. The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a positive impact on pet owners’ lives.
Responsibilities
- Taking dogs on scheduled walks in neighbourhoods or designated parks, or our secure field ensuring their safety at all times
- Providing basic animal care, including feeding, watering, and administering medication if required
- Monitoring dogs’ behaviour during walks and addressing any issues promptly
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning up after dogs during walks
- Communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behaviour, health, and any concerns
- Assisting with additional pet-related tasks such as feeding or light grooming when necessary
- Upholding high standards of animal welfare and customer service at all times
Qualifications
- Prior veterinary experience or background in animal care is preferred but not essential
- Strong passion for animals and commitment to their wellbeing
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as managing dog harnesses or carrying supplies
- Reliable transportation to travel between clients’ locations
- Organised, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to walk multiple dogs over extended periods in various weather conditions

You must have a full UK driving licence with no more than three points, no motoring convictions. Must be able to partake in strenuous walks and have ability to guide a group of dogs through voice command. You will need to be over 25 for insurance purposes.
A customised vehicle is provided but there may be the odd day when you are required to use your own vehicle - seat protection and restraints provided.
