Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef / Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and equipment
- Contribute to meal presentation, ensuring dishes are served attractively and promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hotel setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary terminology
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience with meal preparation across various cuisines is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
