Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Coordinator to support the Head of Department (HoD) and CHB Compliance Lead in ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, AEO requirements, and internal company policies.
The successful candidate will work closely with teams to ensure all Customs activities across departments are carried out in line with the standards required to maintain BDP UK AEO accreditation. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining high compliance standards within a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete monthly file audits to ensure continued compliance with AEO accreditation standards.
- Maintain the Power of Attorney (POA) database and ensure all documentation adheres to HMRC requirements.
- Organise, create, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to AEO requirements.
- Support in the organisation and maintenance of all compliance resources, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and current.
- Stay informed on changes to customs and regulatory legislation, communicating updates effectively to audience.
- Maintain knowledge of international tariff coding and classification procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to internal departments on international import and export requirements, including new UK customs processes.
- Support customers' customs compliance while ensuring all company activities remain fully compliant with HMRC and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support the HoD and Compliance Lead with new authorisation applications and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Escalate compliance issues to management and support with effective resolution.
- Contribute to internal and customer meetings as required.
- Successfully complete training courses, both on-site and off-site, as required for the role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customs compliance procedures, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support operational and regulatory excellence.
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
