Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Sandwich Makers to join our subway store. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and other food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other quick-service food items according to company recipes and standards.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils regularly.
- Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order completion.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control.
- Experience working in a kitchen environment or culinary background is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards customers.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary.
