Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Batching Plant Operator to join our team. This role involves overseeing the operation of batching plant to ensure the efficient and accurate production of concrete. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, be comfortable working with hand and power tools, and have experience in a concrete batching plant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate batching plant equipment to produce specified mixtures according to project requirements
- Monitor plant operations, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery, including cleaning and lubricating components
- Adjust settings and calibrate equipment as necessary to maintain accuracy in production
- Assist with the assembly, installation, and repair of plant components using hand and power tools
- Record production data accurately and report any irregularities or malfunctions promptly
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times, maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience in operating industrial machinery or batching plants is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in recording data and maintaining equipment logs
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding inventory management and safety protocols
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment
