Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and outstanding communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods, including heavy items, with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly
- Report any vehicle or delivery issues to management immediately
Qualifications
- Experience as a delivery driver or courier, ideally within commercial driving environment - Ideal but not necessary
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; appropriate category for commercial driving.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling goods
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and team members
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is desirable
