Position Summary:
As a Tanning Salon Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the salon while delivering excellent customer service. Your role will involve assisting clients with selecting tanning services, maintaining a clean and comfortable salon environment, and providing knowledgeable advice on products and aftercare & how to maintain and develop their tan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients as they enter the salon and provide assistance with selecting tanning services based on their needs.
- Ability to upsell courses & creams.
- Perform tanning sessions ensuring proper procedures are followed to maintain safety and client satisfaction.
- Clean and sanitize tanning beds and equipment before and after each use.
- Ensure the salon is organized, welcoming, and well-stocked with products, such as tanning lotions and accessories. The salon must be kept clean to a high standard.
- Educate clients on tanning safety, skin care, and aftercare to ensure optimal results.
- Manage client walk-ins & have the confidence to work in a fast paced environment during peak periods.
- Upsell tanning products and services based on customer needs and preferences.
- Ensure the salon complies with all health and safety regulations, including sanitization protocols.
- Handle cash register, process payments, and maintain accurate transaction records.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Sales experience if possible, however, not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, cover for last minute sickness and holidays as needed.
- Ability to keep on top of cleanliness at all times.
