Location: Lancing, West Sussex
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week (full‑time or part‑time considered)

About the Practice
New Pond Row Surgery is a forward‑thinking NHS GP practice with 8,500 registered patients, working collaboratively within a supportive Primary Care Network alongside two local practices, serving a combined population of 29,700 patients.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly and well‑established clinical team. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred nursing care and supporting the management of long‑term conditions and health promotion across the practice population.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering evidence‑based nursing care in line with NICE guidelines
- Managing chronic disease clinics, including respiratory conditions (asthma/COPD)
- Providing wound care, including compression therapy and Doppler assessments
- Undertaking cervical cytology, immunisations, and health checks
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
- Prescribing under PGDs and review patient medications
- Supporting Infection Prevention & Control processes, audits, and compliance
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensure effective clinical coding
- Supporting safeguarding of adults and children
- Assisting with minor surgery when required
- Liaising with external services to support vulnerable and housebound patients
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse or in Primary Care
- Competence in immunisations, cervical screening, and chronic disease management
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Confident IT skills and experience using clinical systems
- Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional governance
Desirable Criteria
- Qualification or experience in asthma and/or COPD management
- Wound care and compression therapy experience
- Non‑medical prescribing qualification (or working towards)
- Experience supporting Infection Prevention & Control initiatives
- Experience working within a PCN
