Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in janitorial work or commercial cleaning, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Monday to Friday, 1700-1900, 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in commercial settings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to health and safety standards
- Handle waste disposal efficiently and responsibly
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for ensuring thorough cleaning standards are met
- Good communication skills and reliability are highly valued
