Your Team: You will be part of the highly collaborative Betting & Gaming (B&G) Sales team, working closely with the agency-facing sales team, editorial, and affiliate teams. The purpose of this team is to implement outstanding media solutions and develop new revenue opportunities across The Sun and News UK’s suite of products.
Your Role: As the Lead on all direct bookmaker brands, you will take charge of driving premium advertising revenues across Sun Original Video, Digital Display, and Sun Print products. This is an exciting opportunity to operate at a senior level, building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and agencies while pioneering new platforms and revenue-driving growth opportunities.
Day to day you will:
Capitalise on an established network of senior-level industry decision-makers to drive engagement through high-value meetings across the UK and internationally.
Explore and build new routes to revenue through commercial partnerships across display, video, content, affiliates, data matching, and sponsorships.
Adopt an analytical approach to sales strategy by leveraging first-party data.
Mobilise cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional commercial campaigns and category-leading creative work.
Produce precise analytical, pipeline, and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making while maintaining meticulous CRM records.
What we're looking for from you:
Expertise in navigating the broader media landscape to design and pitch high-performing, multi-platform campaigns rooted in audience insights.
A proven track record of commercial success within a fast-paced digital media sales environment, specifically driving revenue across video partnerships and display advertising.
Exceptional understanding of agency and betting client structures, their unique buying processes, and an established contact base within the industry.
The ability to interrogate client briefs effectively and constructively challenge assumptions to uncover deeper insights and unlock incremental revenue.
The confidence to think holistically and collaborate with broader personnel to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions.
A relentless drive to source new business, influence senior stakeholders' buying decisions, and deploy advanced negotiation skills to close complex deals.
