Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated LIVE-IN Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and support in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at promoting independence and comfort within the home or care facility.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living space.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to support clients with specific challenges.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Provide specialised care for clients with conditions such as dementia or those in hospice care settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or nursing home environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.
- Certification in caregiving or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A compassionate nature with patience and understanding towards clients' needs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
