Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Head Chef to help open and run the kitchen in our new homemade pasta restaurant in the centre of Manchester. The perfect candidate is someone who cares about the guest experience from start to finish, someone who loves working for a growing company and can keep our high standards alongside achieving targets set by the company.

Job Summary

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring that our menu reflects both creativity and excellence in hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Develop and design innovative menus that highlight seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Oversee food preparation processes to guarantee quality and consistency in all dishes.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Implement cost control measures while maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek ways to improve culinary offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food production processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- In-depth understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Passion for cooking with creativity in menu development and presentation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
