Due to the company’s expanding activities, we have several opportunities for experienced and skilled CNC Machine Setter / Operators to join our existing team on a permanent and full time basis.
We have roles available on large CNC milling machines and we need our candidates to be adaptable and flexible.
Our ideal candidate will have successfully completed an Engineering apprenticeship involving CNC miling, leading onto a career within the Engineering sector utilising and developing these skills further.
The company works on a 3 shift system plus an additional weekend night shift and have vacancies to fill on the following shift patterns:
Option 1 = Early shift and Noon shift on weekly rotation
Early shift basic working hours = 37.5 hrs (06:00 - 14:00 Mon - Fri)
Early shift premium = 10%
Noon shift basic working hours = 35hrs but paid for 37.5 (14:00 - 21:30 Mon - Thu, 14:00 - 20:30 Fri)
Noon shift premium = 20%
Option 2 = Permanent Noon shift
Noon shift basic working hours = 35hrs but paid for 37.5 (14:00 - 21:30 Mon - Thu, 14:00 - 20:30 Fri)
Noon shift premium = 20%
Option 3 = Permanent Night shift
Night shift basic working hours = 32hrs but paid for 37.5hrs (21:30 - 06:00 Mon - Thu)
Night shift premium = 33%
Option 4 = Permanent Weekend Night shift
Weekend night shift basic working hours = 36hrs but paid for 37.5hrs (18:00 - 06:00 Fri, Sat & Sun)
Weekend night shift premium = 40%
Additional overtime is usually available both during the week and at weekends, premium rates are paid for this.
The Role:
Working as part of a skilled team, you will be machining critical components which are used on a variety of projects within the Nuclear, Oil & Gas & Defence sectors. These components are often made from exotic alloys and require high standards of workmanship in order to comply with internal and customer specifications.
The majority of the work being produced is for long term multi-year projects which are likely to repeat in the future, providing unrivalled job security for the right individuals.
You will need to be self-motivated and determined with consistently high standards.
You will be required to apply for and obtain UK enhanced national security clearance which the company will sponsor you for.
