Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Children’s Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children in various settings, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing care plans, engaging with children effectively, and working collaboratively with colleagues and families. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support to children in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes positive development and well-being.
- Assist with daily activities such as educational tasks, recreational activities, and personal care routines.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, behaviour, and any incidents in line with organisational policies.
- Collaborate closely with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support strategies.
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, maintaining safe driving practices at all times.
- Contribute to the ongoing review and development of care plans to reflect the changing needs of each child.
- Support less experienced team members through mentoring and guidance, promoting best practices within the team.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a support or childcare setting.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to develop and implement tailored care plans that address individual needs.
- Competent driving skills with a valid licence; comfortable transporting children safely when necessary.
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation efficiently.
- Compassionate approach combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Pay: Up to £17.50 per hour
