Overview
Westin Engineering ltd specialises in sub-contract machining.
We are looking to expand on our capacity and capabilities in our engineering workshop, which also provides a machining service for the wider Westin Engineering Group.
The applicant will be looking to establish a long-term career, who’s primary responsibilities are to operate our machinery to carry out repairs and replacement components for the manufacturing, renewable and marine industries we serve.
The successful applicant will report into the Workshop Manager, carrying out a broad variety of ever-changing tasks as per customer requirements.
Due to the varied nature of the work, this will suit an individual with a flexible approach.
Duties
- Operate a range of machining tools including manual and CNC machines to repair or manufacture components according to drawings and sample.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools, including calibration and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance.
- Measure finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Skills required
- Proficient in both manual and CNC turning and milling
- Good experience of repair work
- Worked with large components
Skills beneficial
- Experience with Fanuc, SIEMENS and Prototrak controls
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
