About the Role
Design2Fit Kitchens is seeking a CNC Operator to join our expanding team in Worsley, Manchester. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CNC machinery, ideally within a joinery or cabinetry environment — however, part training will be provided for the right candidate who is eager to learn and develop their skills in precision manufacturing.
This role involves operating CNC machinery to produce bespoke kitchen components, ensuring each product meets our high standards of quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to design specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and blueprints.
- Select and prepare tools, fixtures, and materials for machining.
- Perform quality checks on finished parts to ensure precision and consistency.
- Carry out routine maintenance and assist with machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines.
- Handle raw materials and finished components safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance CNC and programming skills.
About You
- Previous CNC operating experience is preferred — ideally in joinery, cabinetry, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Some familiarity with woodworking machinery, hand tools, or technical/mechanical work is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Comfortable with hands-on, practical work and manual handling.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential.
