About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team at Chespack Hygiene.
As a growing, family-run business, we take pride in delivering excellent service to our customers, and our drivers play a key role in making sure orders arrive safely, accurately and on time.
This is not a “drop and run” delivery role. Our customers rely on us to deliver goods exactly where they need them, whether that is a cleaning cupboard, storeroom, shelf, or another agreed location within their building. We are looking for someone who understands that good delivery service means being helpful, polite and willing to go the extra step for the customer.
Most routes involve around 20 to 30 drops per day, predominantly across the North of England.
The role is based on a 48-hour working week, Monday to Friday, on a job-and-finish basis.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering cleaning, hygiene, washroom products & machinery to customers across our delivery routes
- Completing around 20 to 30 drops per day, depending on the route
- Driving a company van provided as part of the role
- Loading and unloading the vehicle safely and efficiently
- Delivering goods to the location requested by the customer, not simply leaving them at the entrance
- Providing a friendly and professional service when delivering to customer sites
- Following delivery instructions and ensuring goods are left in the correct locations
- Using the delivery app to follow routes, record deliveries and capture delivery information
- Keeping delivery paperwork and records accurate and up to date
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any issues promptly
- Contacting the office if there are any delivery issues or customer queries
- Supporting the warehouse and operations team when required
- Representing Chespack Hygiene in a professional manner at all times
What We’re Looking For
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Friendly and professional customer manner
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Willing to take orders to the customer’s requested delivery location
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident using a delivery app or willing to learn
- Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
