We are currently seeking an experienced and highly proactive Site Manager to join Black Sheep Homes on a residential project in Swindon.
Black Sheep Homes is a UK main contractor specialising in the delivery of high-quality residential construction projects. We take full responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction coordination through to completion and handover, with a strong focus on programme certainty, quality, safety, and commercial control.
We are a growing business with a strong pipeline of residential developments across the UK, offering long-term opportunities for individuals who take ownership and pride in delivering well-managed sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full day-to-day ownership of site operations from start to finish
- Coordination and leadership of all subcontractors and site teams
- Driving programme delivery and ensuring key milestones are achieved
- Planning and sequencing work to maintain efficient site progress
- Maintaining strict Health & Safety compliance (CDM regulations)
- Ensuring high-quality workmanship and defect-free delivery standards
- Reviewing and approving RAMS before works commence
- Overseeing site security and welfare facilities
- Leading site inductions and toolbox talks
- Managing client, consultant, and building control visits
- Monitoring site performance and reporting progress to the Project Manager
- Reporting progress, risks, and resource requirements to senior management on a regular basis
- Managing site logistics, coordination, and materials flow effectively
- Ensuring clear communication across all site stakeholders
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects (main contractor environment essential)
- Highly proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership of site delivery
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and drive site teams and subcontractors
- Excellent communication skills, able to coordinate effectively across all levels (subcontractors, consultants, internal teams)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and priorities
- Confident decision-maker with a strong focus on delivery, quality, and accountability
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, RAMS, and site compliance
- Full UK driving licence required
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid (preferred)
