About Us
ARA Athletic is a small group personal training gym designed for people who feel lost, stuck, or intimidated in a normal gym environment. We’re not a “one-size-fits-all” fitness business — we meet clients where they’re at, giving them world-class coaching, structure, and accountability to finally achieve lasting results.
Our members are typically busy professionals or parents aged 35–60, who want to build strength, improve energy, and feel more confident in and out of the gym. We focus on progress, consistency, and community — not just chasing personal bests.
We’re looking for a Coach who shares our passion for coaching, community, and genuine client success.
Role Overview
As a Coach, you will deliver small group personal training sessions and play a key role in helping members achieve results they never thought possible. You’ll coach strength training, conditioning, and lifestyle habits while providing accountability and support outside of sessions.
This is not a typical PT role where you sell hours and work alone. At ARA Athletic, you’ll join a coaching team with structured systems, ongoing education, and the opportunity to grow as a professional while changing lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality small group personal training sessions, ensuring every member feels coached, supported, and challenged appropriately.
- Build strong relationships with members, creating an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Track member progress, provide feedback, and adapt programming to suit individual needs.
- Educate members on correct exercise technique, injury prevention, and healthy training habits.
- Support members with lifestyle and nutrition strategies that complement their goals.
- Contribute to the wider coaching team by sharing ideas, supporting events, and upholding gym culture.
- Maintain a professional, safe, and motivating training environment at all times.
- Stay up to date with training methods and continuously develop your coaching skills.

- Ability to coach strength training fundamentals confidently and safely.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to continuous development.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative coaching environment.
Desirable
- Previous experience delivering small group training or coaching in a team-based gym.
- Knowledge of nutrition and lifestyle coaching to support client results.
- Experience working with clients aged 35–60, or those new to structured training.
- First aid qualification.
What We Offer
- Structured onboarding and ongoing professional development.
- A supportive coaching team and strong career progression opportunities.
- Regular in-house education and mentoring to improve your craft.
- The chance to work in a results-driven, community-focused gym environment.
- Competitive salary with opportunities to grow as the business expands.
