Overview
We're looking for a Quality Inspector to join our growing team, working closely with production to help ensure all components meet customer specifications and support the smooth flow of components through the manufacturing process.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who's methodical, detail-focused, and enjoys taking ownership of their work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with company specifications and industry standards.
- Using a range of manual measuring equipment, along with a CMM, 3D scanner, and measuring arm, to carry out inspection
- Analyse inspection data and compile reports to identify trends or recurring issues requiring corrective actions.
- Monitoring scrap levels
- Supporting production to help maintain a smooth flow of components through the manufacturing process
- Helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Carrying out and creating First Off Article Inspection reports to customer specifications
- Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and standards.
- Participate in internal audits and support external inspections as required.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in quality assurance or inspection roles within manufacturing is preferred.
- A solid understanding of technical drawings and 3D models
- Experience using a CMM
- Confidence using manual measuring equipmentA can-do attitude and a willingness to help out within the wider team when needed
- Ability to work under your own supervision and manage your own workload
- Previous experience in a quality, inspection, or precision engineering environment is desirable
