Are you an experienced Children’s Residential Support Worker looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference?
Balfor Recruitment is currently recruiting passionate, resilient and caring Children’s Residential Support Workers to join high-quality residential care services supporting children and young people with complex needs.
You’ll be supporting young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), challenging behaviour and emotional distress, helping them feel safe, supported and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality care, support and emotional guidance in line with individual care plans
- Support children and young people with daily routines, personal development and emotional regulation
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Support behaviour management and respond confidently to challenging situations
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, independence and positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation
- Work closely with colleagues, social workers, families and other multi-disciplinary professionals
- Create a safe, nurturing and supportive residential environment
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for candidates who are passionate about children’s social care and have the resilience, patience and commitment required to support vulnerable young people.
You’ll ideally have:
- 1+ years’ experience working with children or young people
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification
- Must be PRICE Trained
- Must be PBS Trained
- Experience working within children’s residential care, social care, therapeutic homes or support services
- Experience supporting children with Autism, Learning Disabilities, EBD, challenging behaviour or complex needs
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Strong communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
