Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to support our busy kitchen. This role involves assisting with maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen environment. . Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes in a fast paced environment
- Support chefs when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure all areas of the kitchen meet health and safety standards
- Help with dishwashing and waste disposal
- Restock supplies and organise storage areas efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is a plus
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied tasks
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends
Pay: £12.71 per hour
