As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Apprentice to join our established Technical Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for technology who wants to develop practical IT skills whilst working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Working alongside experienced technical professionals, you will gain hands-on experience across IT support, infrastructure, networking, device management, technical projects, and business systems, providing a solid foundation for a long-term career in technology.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Technical Apprentice, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the Technical Department while developing your skills through structured learning and practical experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and user-related issues
- Assisting users via telephone, email, remote support, and in-person visits
- Setting up, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Supporting workstation deployments, including multi-screen setups and desk configurations
- Assisting with Microsoft Intune device provisioning, policy deployment, and lifecycle management
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and 3CX telephony systems
- Managing user onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, permissions, and device allocation
- Processing new equipment and maintaining accurate asset registers and stock records
- Assisting with network infrastructure tasks including CAT5/CAT6 cabling, patching, and hardware installations
- Supporting CCTV and Door Access systems, including device setup and IP configuration
- Assisting with server hardware and UPS maintenance activities
- Monitoring and updating helpdesk tickets, escalating issues where appropriate
- Participating in technical projects, upgrades, system rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaising with users to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Working with suppliers and subcontractors to support delivery of technical objectives
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation and departmental records
- Supporting departmental administration and project coordination activities
- Support the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of vehicle tracking devices and related equipment.
- Assist with maintaining vehicle specification data, product information, installation guides, and technical documentation for internal teams and dealers.
- Liaise with dealers, installation partners, suppliers, and third-party service providers to help resolve vehicle technology and installation-related queries.
- Support the administration, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of telematics, fleet management, and vehicle tracking systems.
- Assist in identifying recurring technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across both IT and vehicle technology services.

Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intune, or Google Workspace
- Exposure to IT support, networking, or hardware troubleshooting
- Interest in infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, technical systems, or automotive technology
- Previous experience gained through education, work experience, or personal projects
- Interest in automotive technology, vehicle telematics, tracking systems, and connected vehicle solutions.
- Basic understanding of vehicle electrical systems, aftermarket installations, or diagnostic tools.
- Experience of customer service or supporting external stakeholders.
- Full UK driving licence (or currently working towards obtaining one)
