Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker/Sales Person to join our dynamic team in a wholesale flower market. This role involves efficiently selecting and preparing products for dispatch while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse experience, and a strong work ethic. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, inventory management, and sales within a wholesale environment. The job requires early 2.30am morning starts 6 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick orders using warehouse management systems and manual methods
- Load and unload goods safely, employing appropriate handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts
- Stock shelves and organise inventory to ensure easy access and stock rotation
- Conduct quality control checks to maintain product standards
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring correct documentation and procedures are followed
- Pack orders securely for delivery, paying attention to packaging standards
- Operate mechanical equipment safely, including forklifts, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment at all times
- Support sales activities by providing excellent customer service and product knowledge of flowers and plants and advantage.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including picking & packing, stock management.
- Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Experience operating forklifts is desirable but training available
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in order accuracy and quality control
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks throughout the shift
- A good telephone manner
- Clean driving license would be an advantage
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Hours of Work
- 6 day week
- 2.30am start 11am finish Monday - Friday
- 2.30am start 9am finish Saturday
Pay: £29,250.00 per year
