Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer, where your vigilance and proactive approach will safeguard our premises, assets, and personnel. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment through active surveillance, prompt incident response, and loss prevention strategies. As a key member of our team, you will ensure safety protocols are followed diligently while fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff.
Duties
- Conduct continuous surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the premises and identify potential security threats.
- Implement loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism.
- Manage access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at entry points.
- Respond swiftly to security incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency services.
- Perform regular patrols of the facility to check for safety hazards, security breaches, or unauthorized access.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for reporting and review purposes.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to uphold a secure environment for everyone on site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security operations or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to deter theft and reduce inventory shrinkage.
- Basic first aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while responding effectively to emergencies or disturbances.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders.
