Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, patient records, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel welcomed throughout their visit
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling efficiently using practice management software
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, professional, and welcoming at all times
- Support the dental team with various administrative duties as required
Skills
- Previous office experience is essential; familiarity with dental or medical practice administration is advantageous
- Training as a dental nurse is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour
- Proficient in using office software and practice management systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
- Organised, reliable, and able to work well within a team setting
